First Nations
Advisory Committee

The Red Rose Foundation acknowledges that First Nations peoples face greater barriers to seeking help for domestic and family violence than non-Indigenous peoples do. We want all women to feel safe to reach out to us for help and support. To this end, we have established the First Nations Women’s Advisory Group to support the Red Rose Foundation in its work by providing direction and guidance on the issues that matter most to First Nations Women who experience domestic and family violence.

The Red Rose Foundation recognises the First Nation peoples of Australia as the traditional owners and custodians of these lands and waters. We pay our respect to them, their cultures and their elders past, present and emerging. We recognise the strength and resilience of First Nations Peoples in fighting for their cultures, communities, and lands.
