Strangulation Trauma Centre

Red Rose Foundation provides free:

  • Trauma-informed and compassion focussed counselling

  • Therapeutic groups for women who are survivors of strangulation and high-risk violence.  

  • A facilitated online group for women 

  • Individual counselling sessions 

  • Safety planning 

  • Telephone support

  • Court support and assistance with strangulation matters in the Magistrate and District Court (Brisbane City Courts).

  • Support to access ongoing health services

  • Systems advocacy

We want survivors to feel safe and secure in accessing our support services and will work with them to explore the best way to do this. There is the option of attending sessions in person at our Strangulation Trauma Centre in Brisbane, or via phone or online (e.g. Zoom).
